What data we collect

• Account details: full name, email address, phone number, country and city.
• Academic profile: GPA or percentage scores, highest qualification, field and level of study.
• English test scores: IELTS, TOEFL or equivalent, where you provide them.
• Study preferences: budget range, preferred countries, scholarship/funding preference.
• Usage data: your saved searches, match results, and basic technical logs needed to run the service.

Why we collect it

We process this data to calculate your eligibility match scores against university admission criteria and to generate personalised program and scholarship recommendations, including AI-generated guidance such as profile analysis, roadmaps and document checklists. We also use it to create and secure your account and to respond to support requests. Where we rely on your consent (for processing your academic data to generate match results), you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and academic data until you delete your account, or after 24 months of account inactivity — whichever comes first. Contact form messages are kept for up to 24 months. After that, records are deleted or irreversibly anonymised. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

Third parties

We share data only with processors that help us run the service:

• Cloud hosting & database — stores your account, profile and saved searches.
• AI model providers — your anonymised academic profile (scores, budget, preferences) is sent to large language model APIs to generate match insights and recommendations. We do not send your name, email or phone number for this purpose.
• Payment processing (Stripe) — used when you unlock premium features. We never store your card details.
• Email delivery — used to send account and support emails.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run advertising trackers, Google Analytics or Meta Pixel on this site. We use only essential cookies and local storage required to keep you signed in.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, export a copy of your data in a portable format, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your data, email privacy@unimatchai.com from the address linked to your account. We respond within 30 days.

Delete my data

To permanently delete your account and all associated academic data, email privacy@unimatchai.com with the subject line "Delete my data". Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, saved searches and match history.
